Dual Diagnosis IOP
Designed for patients with an addictive disorder co-occurring with another psychiatric disorder, the Dual Diagnosis program meets three mornings a week and combines education, group therapy, and skills training. The goals of the program are to increase understanding, build support, and develop new coping skills for the management of cravings and psychiatric symptoms. Patients in the Dual Diagnosis are encouraged to be working with an individual therapist and psychiatrist, as well as actively attending twelve step meetings. The program seeks to optimize integrated treatment through communication with patient’s mental health care providers or referrals to such providers when desired.
