DUI / DWI Program

Partners in Recovery offers 6 week and 26 week DWI Education Programs designed to meet the needs of persons who have been convicted of a DUI/DWI, have a court case pending against them, or require basic education on alcohol/drug abuse and do not meet the criteria for a dependence disorder. The program utilizes an educational model to dispel myths regarding alcohol/drug abuse and to assist the patient in understanding the causes, effects, personal costs, and implications to society. The program introduces the individual to the rationale and the necessity of DUI/DWI laws. DWI education often serves as a spring board into treatment and sobriety; as the patient becomes more educated about drug and alcohol abuse they often begin to personally recognize additional alcohol/drug addiction patterns
